ACTING IN ENGLISH - getting ready to go abroad

Unser Angebot "Acting in English" richtet sich an Anfänger und fortgeschrittene Schauspieler/innen. Der Unterricht wird in englisch abgehalten und ist für Interessenten gedacht, die ihre Tätigkeit im deutschsprachigen Raum durch Mitarbeit in englischen und amerikanischen Film- und Theaterproduktionen im Ausland erweitern möchten.

​Für viele Schauspieler/innen ist es wichtig Ihre Darstellung auch in einer Fremdsprache präsentieren zu können, um damit über den deutschsprachigen Raum hinaus arbeiten zu können. Die Darstellung in Englisch birgt viele Risiken und andere Intonationen.

Das SAI  bietet hierzu Workshops und Privatunterricht an. Unser Angebot "Acting in English" richtet sich an Interessenten, die zwar Anfänger sind, jedoch bereits Erfahrung auf der Bühne oder vor der Kamera gesammelt haben. Ebenso sprechen wir erfahrene Schauspielerinnen und Schauspieler an, die ihre Tätigkeit im deutschsprachigen Raum durch Mitarbeit in englischen und amerikanischen Film- und Theaterproduktionen im Ausland erweitern möchten.

​Voraussetzungen:

• Alle ab 15 Jahren. Teilnehmende unter 18 Jahren benötigen eine schriftliche Einverständniserklärung der Eltern bzw. Erziehungsberechtigten, Link zum Formular. Du solltest dich auf Deutsch (mindestens B1) ausdrücken können.

Aufnahmen:

• Nach dem Kurs erhältst du Zugang zu einem WhatsApp-Gruppenchat, in dem alle Videoaufnahmen hochgeladen werden. Die Gruppe bleibt 48 Stunden offen, damit du alles in Ruhe herunterladen kannst. Danach wird der Chat wieder geschlossen und gelöscht.

# ACTING IN ENGLISH - getting ready to go abroad

Our “Acting in English” program is designed for both beginner and advanced actors. The classes are held in English and are aimed at those who would like to expand their work beyond the German-speaking area by participating in English and American film and theatre productions abroad.

For many actors, it is important to be able to present themselves convincingly in a foreign language in order to work internationally, beyond the German-speaking market. Acting in English comes with different challenges – from risks to unique intonations.

The SAI therefore offers workshops and private lessons. Our “Acting in English” program is open to beginners who already have some experience on stage or in front of the camera. It also addresses experienced actors who want to expand their opportunities by working in English and American film and theatre productions abroad.
