Remo Vinzens ist Schauspieler, Regisseur und Produzent und arbeitet zwischen Zürich und Los Angeles mit Schwerpunkt auf internationaler Filmentwicklung und länderübergreifenden Produktionen.

Er entwickelt und produziert Film- und Theaterprojekte für den europäischen und amerikanischen Markt und verbindet dabei seine langjährige Erfahrung im Kamera- und Bühnenschauspiel.

Als Mitgründer und Künstlerischer Leiter des Swiss Acting Institute verantwortet er die kreative Ausrichtung der Akademie und leitet eine internationale Ausbildungsplattform, die Schauspielerinnen und Schauspieler auf Film, Fernsehen und internationale Casting-Prozesse vorbereitet.

Seine professionelle Schauspielausbildung absolvierte Remo Vinzens in Köln und Zürich, wo er sich intensiv mit unterschiedlichsten Schauspieltechniken und Methoden auseinandersetzte. Früh sammelte er Erfahrungen in Theaterproduktionen, Werbespots, Kurzfilmen und unabhängigen Filmprojekten.

Ein prägender Meilenstein seiner künstlerischen Entwicklung war das On-Camera-Training an der Internationalen Filmschule Köln (IFS), wo er unter anderem mit dem Oscar-nominierten Schauspieler Klaus Maria Brandauer arbeitete. Diese intensive Ausbildung legte den Grundstein für seinen Fokus auf emotionale Präzision, Authentizität und eine starke Präsenz vor der Kamera.

Seine Leidenschaft für das klassische Theater zeigte sich besonders in seiner Co-Produktion und Hauptrolle in Arthur Millers Meisterwerk Tod eines Handlungsreisenden. Seine Darstellung des Happy Loman, insbesondere ein zentraler Monolog, fand auch innerhalb der Hollywood-Filmbranche Beachtung.

2008 stand Vinzens für die Rolle des Camerlengo in Ron Howards Spielfilm Illuminati (Angels & Demons) in Gesprächen. Ein Jahr später bekundete Clint Eastwood Interesse an ihm für die Rolle des François Pienaar in "Invictus", die letztlich mit Matt Damon besetzt wurde.
2012 machte seine Darstellung des Edmund Tyrone in "Eines langen Tages Reise in die Nacht" Steven Spielberg durch eine aufgezeichnete Aufführung auf ihn aufmerksam. Während der frühen Entwicklungsphase von "Lincoln" bekundete Spielberg erneut Interesse an seiner Arbeit.

Im selben Jahr gründete Remo Vinzens gemeinsam mit Star Class Talent Management (Los Angeles / Zürich) das Swiss Acting Institute mit. Das Institut wurde als internationale Ausbildungsplattform geschaffen, um Schauspielerinnen und Schauspieler gezielt auf Theater-, Film- und Fernsehproduktionen sowie auf internationale Casting-Märkte vorzubereiten.

Als Künstlerischer Leiter verantwortet Remo Vinzens die kreative Ausrichtung und die Weiterentwicklung des Ausbildungsprogramms. Er unterrichtet persönlich Kameraschauspiel, Casting- und Audition-Training, Szenenarbeit, englischsprachiges Schauspiel sowie die professionelle Vorbereitung auf internationale Märkte – insbesondere in Europa, Grossbritannien und den USA. Darüber hinaus coacht er Führungskräfte und Berufstätige in den Bereichen Präsenz, Kommunikation und Wirkung und überträgt dabei Methoden aus Film und Theater auf den Berufsalltag.

Mit den jährlich stattfindenden "Open Acting Studio Days" initiierte Remo Vinzens zudem ein internationales Veranstaltungsformat, das Schauspielerinnen und Schauspieler, Branchenvertreter und Nachwuchstalente zusammenbringt. Workshops, Live-Performances und Livestreams bieten Einblicke in zeitgemässe Schauspielarbeit für Bühne und Kamera. Die zweite Ausgabe, Open Acting Studio Days Part II, ist für 2027 geplant.

Heute entwickelt und produziert Remo Vinzens weiterhin internationale Film- und Theaterprojekte und ist als Schauspieler, Produzent und Künstlerischer Leiter zwischen Europa und den Vereinigten Staaten tätig.

Remo Vinzens is a Swiss actor, director and producer working between Zurich and Los Angeles, with a focus on international film development and cross-market productions.

Remo Vinzens completed his professional acting training in Cologne and Zurich, where he immersed himself in a wide range of acting techniques and methodologies, later integrating them into a pragmatic, performance-driven approach for stage and screen. Early in his career, Remo Vinzens gained experience in theatre productions, commercials, short films and independent film projects.

A formative milestone in his artistic development was his “On Camera” training at the International Film School (IFS) in Cologne, where he trained, among others, with Academy Award–nominated actor Klaus Maria Brandauer. This intensive training laid the foundation for his focus on emotional precision, authenticity and strong screen presence.

Remo Vinzens’ dedication to classical stage work became particularly evident through his co-production and leading role in Arthur Miller’s timeless masterpiece Death of a Salesman. His performance, including a powerful monologue as Happy Loman, was met with strong critical response and attracted attention within the Hollywood film industry.

In 2008, Vinzens entered discussions for the role of the Camerlengo in Ron Howard's feature film Angels & Demons (2009). The following year, Clint Eastwood expressed interest in him for the role of François Pienaar in Invictus (2009), ultimately portrayed by Matt Damon.

In 2012, his portrayal of Edmund Tyrone in Long Day's Journey Into Night drew the attention of Steven Spielberg following a recorded performance. During the early development of Lincoln (2012), Spielberg again expressed interest in his work.

In 2012, Remo Vinzens co-founded the Swiss Acting Institute together with fellow professional actors, in collaboration with Star Class Talent Management (Los Angeles / Zurich). The institute was established as an international training platform dedicated to preparing actors for theatre, film, television and international casting environments.

As Artistic Director of the Swiss Acting Institute, Remo Vinzens oversees the institute's creative vision and curriculum development. He personally coaches actors in camera acting, audition training, scene work, English-language performance and professional preparation for international markets, particularly across Europe, the UK and the United States. In addition to actor training, he also coaches executives and professionals in presence, communication and performance skills, drawing on techniques developed through his work in film and theatre.

With the annual Open Acting Studio Days, Remo Vinzens also initiated an international event format that brings together actors, industry professionals and emerging talent, offering insights into contemporary acting practice for stage and screen — on site and via live stream for a global audience in Open Acting Studio Days Part: II with the second edition scheduled for 2027.

Today, Remo Vinzens continues to develop international film and theatre projects while working as an actor, producer and Artistic Director between Europe and the United States.
